Giovanni Levanti

After graduating in architecture he moved to Milan. He attends the Domus Academy and starts collaborating with Andrea Branzi.
His work is immediately recognized and appreciated: he participates in the "12 new Memphis" exhibition and renowned brands of Italian design such as Cassina, Edra, and Campeggi include his first projects in their catalogs.

He explores - through a method made of continuous references between intuition and rigor - different possibilities and new typologies to renew home comfort.

His work has always been between vision and reality, utopian openings and product. His works have been selected over the years for prestigious international exhibitions. His designs are present in the permanent design collections of the Milan Triennale, the Museum of Fine Arts in Montreal and the Center Pompidou in Paris.

Among the awards: the Palermo Design Week (Palermo, 2007) and the DesignPlus Prize (Frankfurt, 2000), the selections at the XXII Premios de Disegno cDIM Professionales (Valencia, 2004) and at the XIX ADI Golden Compass Award (Milan, 2001 ). In 2007 his first solo exhibition in the premises of the Literary Café of the Teatro Massimo in Palermo. In 2010 B. Finessi curates a large retrospective on his work in the spaces of the Careof and Viafarini galleries, at the Fabbrica del Vapore in Milan. In 2014 "Il Candore Umano" is one of his exhibitions at Palazzo Agliardi as part of DimoreDesign Bergamo.

He lives and works in Milan.
