UNI-AL – Surface as experience

UNI-AL evolves the concept of the polypropylene shell by working on perception. The three-dimensional texture, already introduced in Francesco Geraci’s design, recalls upholstery, creating a refined visual and tactile effect.
Today, evolution is expressed through the metallic coating of the shell, enhanced by a manual brushing process that adds visual depth. The finishes — copper, titanium, gold — amplify the three-dimensionality of the surface, highlighting its material quality and creating a continuous interaction with light.
Reflections flow across the texture, transforming the perception of the object within space.
UNI-AL thus becomes an active design tool, capable of influencing the atmosphere and dynamically contributing to the identity of its environment.
